Hi, my name's Brian and I'm an alcoholic...

Well, it only took me a couple weeks to log on here and say hello from the e-mail you sent me. It is 3am and I am tired, worked all day, sat for two hours in traffic not moving. At least it isn't hot. I don't have much to say tonight, but I am thinking of an appropriate blog entry; since it will be my first blog ever, it must be spectacular or anticlimatic, either of those extremes as long as it isn't banal.

Well, happy day Des, hope you are taking care of yourself.

HEAR YE, HEAR YE, ALL YE FRIENDS OF MINE

I, Desirée, am hereby starting this blog because, (1) I may or may not see you on a daily basis but that doesn't mean I don't want to talk to you more often, (2) similar situations may be presenting themselves to us and we could possibly benefit from an insulated (yes, via internet, but in a non-myspace) forum for sharing and supporting, (3) some of you may not know each other, and I think that is just a shame, (4) I miss regular rambling discussions about the things that I'm reading, so even if we're not reading the same things, we can expand our knowledge base by posting, let's say, once a week about what ever may be on our mind - whether this is finding a new coffee shop, testing out a new recipe, reading a good/mediocre/bad book, developing a new love interest, or contemplating a life decision of any sort. See, it can be about anything, and if you don't want to post, that is also okay, just stick around. What can I say, I'd like for this blog to be a friendly mess, so post articles, reflect on things you have read or experienced in the course of daily life, pose questions and seek suggestions for new courses of action. With this said, let the blogging begin!
